1. Set up your pass types

In the pass settings you add products that match your offering: a number of entries, days of validity or both, a price and the classes covered. If you select no classes, the pass covers all class types. Validity can start at purchase or at the first entry, and you can also set a weekly entry limit if needed.

A product’s terms are copied to the pass when it is issued. Later changes to the price or number of entries do not affect passes that participants already hold.

2. Sell passes online and by bank transfer

Participants choose a pass in the price list on the school’s page and then a payment method. You can offer several methods at the same time.

The money goes to the school’s account, not to Studio. A pass paid via Stripe or Paynow is created only after the provider confirms the payment; with a regular bank transfer, once the school confirms the payment in the dashboard.

  • Your own Stripe account: card, BLIK or Przelewy24, depending on the school’s account settings.
  • Your own Paynow shop: BLIK and fast bank transfers.
  • A regular bank transfer to the school’s account, with details to copy and a QR code for banking apps.

3. Entries deducted at booking

When booking a class, participants use an entry from their pass instead of paying for a single class. Studio deducts one entry and the booking is settled.

The entry returns to the pass when the participant cancels within the allowed time, and always when the school cancels the class. Attendance or a late cancellation uses up the entry. For partner classes, the school can allow the booking person’s pass to cover the partner’s place too.

4. Freezes and make-ups

When a participant is ill or away, staff can freeze the pass for a chosen period. Validity is extended by the frozen days, and the school sets the maximum number of days and the freeze limit per pass.

The school grants make-ups for absences manually or automatically when an absence is marked. A make-up has its own expiry date and, if the school allows it, can be used even after the pass has expired. At booking, Studio first uses the make-up that expires soonest.

5. Billing and refunds in the school dashboard

Bank transfer orders wait in the Payments tab. After checking that the money has arrived, the owner or a manager clicks “Payment received”: the pass is created and the participant receives a purchase confirmation by e-mail. Studio does not read bank statements.

You can also issue a pass to a participant in the dashboard and record the payment manually, for example cash. A Stripe payment is refunded with a button in the pass panel; Paynow and bank transfer refunds are made with the provider or your bank.

Instructors do not see passes or amounts. The liabilities overview shows unused entries on active passes and their value, and participants check their entries and validity in My passes.

Frequently asked questions

Does Studio take a commission on pass payments?

No. Studio currently charges no commission on bookings or payments, and the money goes to the school’s account. Stripe, Paynow and bank fees depend on the school’s agreements with those providers.

Can participants pay with BLIK?

Yes, if the school offers Paynow or has BLIK enabled on its Stripe account. Participants choose the payment method in the pass price list on the school’s page.

Can single classes be paid for online?

No. Online payments are for passes. The school records payments for single bookings and room rentals manually in the dashboard.

Does Studio support direct debit or automatic pass renewal?

No. Participants buy each pass separately. Studio does not take recurring payments, does not support direct debit and does not issue invoices.
